L-3 ComCept is Twice-Recognized for Outstanding Achievements in Security Services.
L-3 ComCept Security Services department efforts once again led to the coveted James S. Cogswell Outstanding Industrial Security Achievement Award for 2006. L-3 ComCept received its first Cogswell Award in 2003. Defense Security Service (DSS) established the award in 1996 to recognize a select number of cleared contractor facilities for their outstanding performance in the field of security. The awarded facilities are nominated by their assigned DSS Industrial Security Representatives. Judgment is based on the criteria listed on the DSS website and two consecutive industrial security reviews exhibiting a sustained degree of excellence in program requirements. According to DSS, of the nearly 11,000 cleared contractors, less than one tenth of one percent are selected annually to receive this award.
